On Friday 6 October, the eleventh edition of the Vinari Awards took place in Vilafranca del Penedès, a gala where wines from the Terra Alta Denomination of Origin were recognized in various categories.

Our Somdinou Blanc 2022 (DO Terra Alta) won a Silver Vinari Medal, in the category of young white wines. This wine has been fermented in stainless steel vats for approximately 20 days at 16ºC and is aged on lees for approximately one month.

The Awards Gala was the culmination of a whole year of activity, during which up to five preliminary and two final tasting sessions were held. And all of this, at the hands of a hundred professionals who, as members of the jury, have blindly tasted and evaluated close to a thousand different references.

In this edition, the eleventh, the Vinari Awards begin their second decade of life. According to the organizers, it has been an "edition marked by the increase in the quality of the participating wines, a fact that has been certified by the scores that the nearly one hundred sommeliers and oenologists who have participated as Jury have awarded them".

In this edition, each wine has been evaluated by ten tasters in the preliminary tastings and, those that have passed to the final, by ten more tasters. In other words, each medal has been certified by twenty tasters.
