The Vinari Awards 2021, the great Catalan wine festival, has awarded in its ninth edition two silver awards to two wines from the Cooperativa de Gandesa. Specifically, they have been the Silver Wine Award in the category of Crianza Whites, which has received the Somdinou Blanc Crianza 2017 and the Silver Wine Award in the category of Reds of Guarda, which has been taken by the Carignan Puresa Centenary 2015.

The Vinari Awards for Catalan wines began the ninth edition of the competition in the spring of 2021, with the opening of entries, in which they added to the competition some 850 different references made around the country.

During the summer months, the first tasting stages were held at the Escola d'Enoturisme de Catalunya, which gave the winners of the prizes in the youth, wine tourism and best vineyards categories, and the final phase was held in mid-September. of the contest in the Celler de Rubí, where the finalist wines of the other categories were tasted to define the final podiums of the year.

The Vinari Awards for Catalan wines, organized by VADEVI.cat, were born in 2013 with the aim of publicizing the wide range of wines produced in the country and also to guide the final consumer on the local product. of quality. The Vinari Awards have the support and involvement of all the Catalan wine sector through the Department of Agriculture and the Catalan Institute of Vine and Wine (INCAVI); of all the Denominations of Origin of the country, of the cellars, cooperatives and other winemakers of Catalonia. The Catalan Association of Oenologists and the Catalan Association of Sommeliers guarantee professionalism through its members; and collaborate with professionals with proven experience in tasting.
